[RFP] Proposal for Dev House on Retainer to support ShutterDAO

We at Three Sigma are thrilled to submit this proposal in response to ShutterDAO’s RFP, offering our support in development activities through a retainer format. With our extensive experience in similar projects relevant to the tasks outlined in the RFP, we firmly believe in the value of long-term retainers as they foster strong and productive relationships between parties.

Our proposal aims to address all the needs outlined in ShutterDAO’s RFP, as well as any additional tasks of similar nature that may arise in the future. At Three Sigma, we pride ourselves on our flexibility and commitment to fulfilling the evolving requirements of our clients, recognizing that project needs may shift over time.

In greater detail, Three Sigma is fully equipped to develop both on-chain and off-chain components, spanning from crafting transactions to establishing infrastructure for sub-DAOs. Additionally, we specialize in creating infrastructure that enables bots to extract data, complemented by analytics dashboards for streamlined visualization of the DAO’s metrics. Our team’s adaptability ensures that we can accommodate a wide range of component-building needs.

Objectives:

  • Crafting transactions (ask “executable code”) for Fractal votes

  • Creating infrastructure for Shutter DAO 0x36: sub-DAOs and SAFEs on other chains

  • Creating for SHU: creating representations of SHU on other chains, ensuring SHU is listed on canonical bridge UIs

  • Operating lightweight/supporting infrastructure components such as potential telegram bots, analytics dashboards etc.

  • Any related activities that might arise in the future

Responsiveness

Three Sigma commits to respond to any requests from ShutterDAO 0x36 within a 48-hour timeframe. Upon approval of tasks, Three Sigma commits to commencing work within a maximum period of 2 weeks.

Costs:

  • Project Manager: 3,000 USD / week

  • Backend Developer: 3,500 USD / Month

  • Frontend Developer: 3,000 USD / Month

  • Smart Contract Developer: 4,000 USD / Month

Afonso Oliveira

Afonso holds an MSc in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, majoring in Distributed Systems and Cybersecurity. During his college years he worked on the development of a domain-specific language for smart contract programming, gathering valuable insights on the technicalities of the industry. Afonso started investing in blockchain in 2016 and is well versed in blockchain’s consensus mechanisms with notable research in the area of randomised asynchronous BFT consensus.

Simão is a highly accomplished individual with a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the prestigious Instituto Superior Técnico who brings a unique skill set to the blockchain industry. Aerospace engineering graduates, like Simão, possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, enabling him to approach projects with a meticulous and systematic approach. Simão’s passion for software development, security, coding tools, infrastructure, and blockchain led him to join Three Sigma. His expertise in conducting code audits and uncovering critical vulnerabilities quickly earned him a leadership role in the code auditing team, where he continuously enhances software security and reliability.
