About Blockful
Blockful is a service provider for DAOs, supporting protocol engineering and governance. As a collective of passionate and seasoned builders, we build public goods and open-source with the best-in-class standards
As a service provider for Shutter DAO, our goal is to drive technical excellence and innovation that aligns with Shutter’s mission to secure and decentralize blockchain infrastructure. We believe that our collaboration with Shutter DAO will contribute significantly to the advancement of the decentralized web, enhancing its security and growth. Our commitment to open-source development and public goods aligns perfectly with Shutter’s values, and we are eager to bring our expertise to support the Shutter Community.
Why us?

Our portfolio includes successful collaborations with various DAOs and protocols, demonstrating our capability to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions. Our proven track record instills confidence in our ability to support and enhance Shutter DAO’s objectives.
Experience
ENS DAO Service Provider
Blockful, with an Exclusive squad of developers, already is a Service Provider for ENS DAO, there we are enhancing and creating new possibilities together, as:
- User experience [UX]: Lower the barrier and complexity for users.
- Developer experience [DX]: Make onboarding for developers easier and reduce costs/time to build on ENS.
- Platform sustainability [PS]: Create a positive-sum situation by having more incentives for platforms so they can grow together with ENS.
- Governance [Gov]: Improve transparency and security on governance.
More details on the scope for ENS here
As a service provider, our mindset is to participate in governance and defend the interests of the community and its ethos. Recent research on ENS led to the creation of a security council, but this is still a work in progress.
It is also in our best interest to provide new opportunities and help the protocols we work with grow. For scaling ENS to L2s, we received grants from Optimism and Arbitrum to build Layer-2 infrastructure to allow ENS holders to manage their ENS Domain on those chains. Other actions are also happening to expand ENS on other ecosystems and create more adoption.
Transparency and accountability are extremely important when working with open-source and DAOs. All the work being done by Blockful to ENS can be seen here on GitHub projects, and it is open to anyone who wants to see our work in progress.
Here you can see more about how blockful impacted ENS on past services and contributions by Avsa.eth.
Balancer and Aztec integrations
Balancer provides access to secure infrastructure for liquidity applications while Aztec enables decentralized applications to access privacy and scalability. We, at Blockful, integrated Balancer’s infrastructure with Aztec’s rollup. This allowed users to join select pools through zk.money to manage gas costs and their privacy. A simple optic of this integration is our task to hide Balancer’s customer’s operations using Aztec as a relayer.
You can read more about the features here and the depoiment of Zen-dragon (Balancer head of grants) here.
“The team is highly motivated and innovative, making them the exact type of group we get joy out of funding.” - Zen Dragon from Balancer
Discloser: Unfortunately, Aztec Connect has sunset. Anyway, the deliveries and collaboration with these teams were great.
Swaplace
Swaplace is a dApp entirely built by Blockful product squad (front-end, smart contract engineer, product manager, tech-lead and designer) and ecosystem developers, is a Public Good and open-source project, aimed to address swaps in a bunch between different kinds of assets (ERC-20 and ERC-721). Is a community-built project, where we instructed and called the developer community to build together.
The dApp is currently on testnet and can be tested below:
As we did with ENS, we have a public task management list, as follows below:
And several other works on the WEB3 ecosystem that we can talk deeply about.
Way of work
Payment and Scope
- Scoping each demand: We can scope each demand based on the necessary squad to work on the project, the squad team we have are: Smart Contract engineer, project manager, front-end, back-end, QA Engineer, Smart Contract Auditor, product designer.
- Rate/hour: We can close the scope or make in a squad-as-a-service format for the price/hour of $ 85.00/h.
- Recurring monthly fee: The DAO can choose to close a recurring monthly fee with total 3 senior developers on it (Front-end, Back-end and SC Eng.), we can fix the price as $25.000/month for 1 year. (Same as ENS DAO proposal).
Blockful development process:
- Collaborative engagement and raising information: Engage closely with DAO stakeholders through discussions and meetings to thoroughly understand their needs. Explore the project’s capacity, desired features, and roadmap, and actively solicit input from the community to ensure alignment with their expectations.
- Scoping and Resource estimation: Determine the ideal scope of work, including hours required, key milestones, and the project roadmap. Assemble the necessary squad with the right skills to execute the project efficiently. Strategically plan for an MVP (Minimum Viable Product), Version 1, and future iterations to ensure scalability and adaptability.
- Development and Tests: Utilize Agile methodologies to manage sprints and maintain team synchronization, ensuring that each feature’s development timeline is clear. Adopt Lean principles to focus efforts on features that provide the greatest impact. Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) to enhance accuracy and minimize errors throughout the coding process. Conduct thorough code reviews and internal audits to maintain high standards before deployment to production.
