Second Keyper set vote coming and proposals for it closing
Keypers are crucial to the Shutter Network’s operations, responsible for generating encryption and decryption keys to secure network transactions. This vital role supports a system that prevents ‘malicious MEV’ and promotes fairness in DeFi, playing a significant part in the wider Ethereum ecosystem. The setup and operation of this role are not complex or expensive.
The vote for the second Keyper set will start on Thursday, the 30th of November, 2023.
The Shutter protoDAO members will vote in the Snapshot space, and the vote will be live for one week.

Post your Keyper proposal now!
If you have not yet, be sure to read our Become a Keyper for Shutter Network! blog post.
The deadline to create a proposal for becoming a Keyper will be Wednesday, the 29th of November at 11 PM CET.
Be sure to post your proposal by then!
This vote will include proposals that are tagged as keyper-set-2
. These proposals, if successful, will be added to the Keyper set, in addition to the Keypers already online.
When changing the Keyper set as per the results of the second vote, any inactive Keypers from the first set can be reviewed and be put under consideration of removal from the Keyper set. This would affect only inactive Keypers, those that have not come online at all or have severe downtime since the beginning of the first Keyper set.
