First Keyper set is online

After the First Keyper Selection Process by the Shutter protoDAO members, 13 Keypers were selected for the first Keyper set.

Most of these nodes are now online, and operations are running smoothly. More than the threshold are participating, and in the future, the Keypers will begin to secure the shielded votes on Snapshot.

The process for submitting a proposal to become a Keyper is ongoing, so if you are interested in becoming a Keyper, now is a great time to submit your proposal !

We are looking to expand the number of Keypers and will schedule the second Keyper Selection Process for some time this year.

Become a Keyper for Shutter Network!

This blog post provides an overview of the role and importance of Keypers within the Shutter Network. It describes the responsibilities of Keypers, who are crucial to maintaining the network’s security through the generation of encryption and decryption keys.

Keypers are crucial to the Shutter Network’s operations and are responsible for generating encryption and decryption keys to secure network transactions. This vital role supports a system that prevents ‘malicious MEV’ and promotes fairness in DeFi, playing a significant part in the wider Ethereum ecosystem. The setup and operation of this role are not complex or expensive. Check out towards the end of this post on how to apply to become a Keyper!
