There has been earlier discussion about ShutterDAO future survival.
While I do not agree with some key points of the original proposal, I feel taking too extreme actions with grants may kill ShutterDAO and do more harm than good.
I would propose something along the following lines
- brainbot gives up a budget and plan to keep ShutterDAO lights on for next 18 months (reasonable runway) - focusing on the core development
- on the top of this budget, ShutterDAO budgets additional items like market making, etc. costs related to the token
- Based on the current developments, the current grant might be too large and there needs to be realistic consideration of downsizing the grant, which naturally means brainbot needs to reallocate or let go of some people on these tasks
- brainbot accepts an independent accountant or similar consultant to check the accounts and write a short report how the brainbot grant was spent, to calm down the concerns there has been extensive spending that did not go towards ShutterDAO goals - budget fo this task should not be too large, let’s say 5 working days a max, or $3000
These are example guidelines and not a proposal.
Let’s try to fix the course with the goodwill first and then resort to extreme actions only if needed.
