DAO Delegate Nomination - Kleros Labs

Name: Kleros Labs

Ethereum Address: 0xffFA76e332cA7afaae3931cb5d513B7fd681C4CF (delegate.kleroslabs.eth)

Why we make an excellent delegate:

Kleros Labs is a DAO governance effort of the Kleros Cooperative (the main contributor to the development of the Kleros protocol). Kleros is a decentralised dispute resolution system capable of acting as a Subjective Oracle. Kleros co-founder Federico Ast is among our in-house Governance experts and some of our team members are involved in research projects on this topic: Project Liberty and BlockchainGov.

Kleros has notably built an Optimistic Governance solution using a custom Zodiac Reality Module to separate powers within DAOs (allowing to have proposal checks against a Constitution for example).

Kleros has been interested in Shutter Network’s technology for a long time now, having given conference talks as far back as 2021 and shared feedback to the team on their mechanism design.

Kleros is currently working on its next major release and wants to give users of the court a mechanism to have their votes “auto-reveal” in courts that have a commit and reveal scheme enabled. Kleros plans to use Shutter technology for this feature, which incentivizes us in the long-term success of Shutter.

Kleros has received a combined 3.2M SHU tokens from the genesis airdrop for our involvement with Shutter Network and Gnosis.

As a delegate Kleros Labs will value Decentralisation, Transparency and Trustlessness and overall the long-term success of Shutter Network.

Authorised members to speak on behalf of Kleros Labs on the forum: @0xAlex, @jaybuidl

Conflicts of Interest: We have a close relationship with Gnosis, as we did a treasury swap with them in the past. Our DAO Lead @0xAlex is also personally involved as a delegate in Paladin and is a member of BHDAO which is a DAO that has invested in pre-seed in Shutter Network. Our Lead Dev @jaybuidl is a delegate at Diva DAO.

Select and Provide a Grant to a Post-LBP Market Maker: Vote: JLH Venture. We choose this option because we believe their proposal is coherent and the team is competent. Moreover, the team has been involved with Shutter for a long time, which demonstrates a shared interest and alignment of values with the Shutter Network.

Provide a Grant to Tailored Agency for KOL Marketing Services Before/During the LBP: Vote: For. As mentioned in our comment, we would have appreciated another competing proposal for benchmarking and due diligence. However, we understand the time constraints with the LBP approaching soon. Therefore, we vote in favor of Tailored, as the offer and its pricing are coherent, and some DAO members have received positive feedback from previous clients.

Provide a Grant to Artis for Pre-LBP Advisory Services: Vote: Against. We believe the initial proposal was under-specified, and the concern raised by Sebastian/Hopr (refer to the screenshot) was valid.

Select a Curator for the LBP on Fjord Foundry: Vote: Bonsai. Having voted for Tailored for the marketing aspect, we think it would be beneficial and in the interest of the DAO to diversify its sources of service providers. Furthermore, the Bonsai offer is well-structured, and the team appears competent.
