Hello, I’m LaJota, I was in the last community call that talked about the rebrand, protocol update and staking.
On staking, there will be an incentive for staking + sharing of the fees generated by the protocol. However, the protocol and keypers will be deployed on several blockchains, which can cause problems on “where are we going to stake our tokens?”
I propose 3 ideas :
I) LayerZero :
Implementation of LayerZero’s OFT technology to transfer the $SHU token to any blockchain (that supports LayerZero) in 1 for 1.
Creation of a Cross Chain Smart Contract for staking using LayerZeroV2, to stake our $SHU from any blockchain. The example I’m basing this on is: Stargate Protocol, where we can stake our $STG from any blockchain to participate in governance and obtain part of the revenue generated by the protocol. Why not implement the same on Shutter.
Advantages : Easy to implement, UX friendly
Disadvantages : Depends on LayerZero technology (update, hack etc.)
II) Eigen Layer :
Creation of an AVS on Eigen that will have the goal of supervising all keypers, creating a universal Smart Contract on the AVS to capture the protocol’s income across many blockchains and redistribute it to $SHU stakers using cross chain protocol like Hyperlane.
Advantages : security of Eigen and Ethereum, sovereign of its AVS and all the advantages that go with it
Disadvantages : Complexity to set up.
III) Staking on blockchain :
Creation of a Smart Contract by blockchain where the keypers are deployed, each staker is free to stake on the blockchain where he wants, which is to create a form of decentralization.
Advantages : stakers are exposed to the blockchain they want,
Disadvantages : need to migrate $SHU tokens on the blockchain where keypers are deployed, not UX friendly, deploy smart contracts on each new blockchain where keypers are deployed
That’s all, I tried to bring my vision, I am not an expert in dev, marketing or anything else, just a technology and web3 enthusiast. The project is still young and promising, it’s just the beginning !
