Initial Payment Request: AI-Agent MEV and Transaction Ordering Simulator (Isotropic Solutions)

We intend to post this proposal to Decent on Monday December 23, 2024.

Summary:

Subsequent to a previous Snapshot approval by the DAO to initiate this project, we are requesting $10,000 USDC for project initiation. While projects typically raise funds upfront, we opted to ensure smooth early progress before requesting payment. With significant progress already achieved, this installment will cover the costs of starting the project. Additional payments will follow upon delivery of Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Purpose:

Funding at this point ensures uninterrupted project delivery. The next phases build on current progress, aligning with Shutter DAO’s goals for transaction ordering and MEV simulation on Gnosis Chain.

Specification:

This proposal divides the project into three phases, each tied to a $10,000 USDC payment:

  1. Project Initiation (This Proposal): Covers project initiation and setup.
  2. Phase 1: Foundation and Basic Agent Implementation (Weeks 1-5).
  3. Phase 2: MEV Strategy Implementation and Dashboard Delivery (Weeks 6-9).

Current Progress:

  • Initial Setup:
    • Integrated OLAS agent framework with Gnosis and Shutter encrypted mempools.
    • Created stub agents to simulate test transactions.
  • Agent and Data Integration:
    • Implementing bespoke MEV simulation agents.
    • Data collection from encrypted and standard mempools operational, with PostgreSQL logging.
  • Blockchain Integration:
    • Integrated with Gnosis Chain through ledger APIs for transaction testing.

Funding Request:

  • $10,000 USDC for Project Initiation (this proposal).
  • $10,000 USDC for Phase 1 Completion (Weeks 1-5).
  • $10,000 USDC for Phase 2 Completion (Weeks 6-9).

Timeline:

  • Phase 1: Deliver foundation and basic agent implementation (by Week 5).
  • Phase 2: Deliver MEV strategy implementation and dashboard (by Week 9).

Hey @isotropic Thanks for moving this proposal forward; the original snapshot proposal was accepted almost 5 months ago.

Can you briefly elaborate on the timeline from August to now and the significant progress made?

Furthermore, the DAO has adopted a governance life cycle for proposals (excluding temp-checks).

All proposals with executable code or significant impact on the DAO should follow a three-week timeline.

The voting period was introduced to reduce voter apathy and effectively use resources.

I’m seeing difficulties with how this proposal is structured. We will vote on the funding every 5 weeks with a 3-week discussion period. This will be unnecessary bureaucracy that the voting cycle tried to avoid.

This particular proposal should have been posted on 16. Monday to be included in the next voting cycle on Monday, 23.12.2024

From experience, it is also not ideal to have a vote during the Christmas break; many of us will be out of office,

So, depending on the urgency of the proposal’s execution, I would reconsider the proposal timeline.

In addition to the good comments from Baer Daoplomats.

Just wondering do you mind clarifying how does these delivery (progress made so far ) benefits Shutter Network in general?

The original post does mention this is a collaboration between OLAS and ShutterDAO. So, does @isotropic represent OLAS in this case? Do you mind to share what resource does OLAS contribute to this effort so far?

Because 50,000 USDC + 500,000 SHU, does looks a large amount for a demo. And who will hold the IP right of work? is it going to be share between OLAS and ShutterDAO?
