# Shutter DAO 0x36 Deploys $1.2M to Fund Ecosystem Growth

The Shutter DAO 0x36 has deployed $1.2M USDC from its treasury into Octant vaults to fund ecosystem growth.

The deployment was [approved through an onchain vote](https://shutternetwork.discourse.group/t/update-octant-v2-pilot-to-optimize-treasury-strengthen-ecosystem/801/1?ref=blog.shutter.network) by Shutter DAO 0x36.

The capital is allocated into an Octant v2 ERC-4626 vault, using Morpho’s Steakhouse USDC strategy. The yield generated will go toward a new ecosystem growth initiative, Shutter Champions, that we’ll begin rolling out in the coming weeks.
