Keyper Compensation Program — Renewal (6 months) - Sept 2026 - Feb 2027

The program continues to provide a simple, standards-based incentive for reliable Keyper participation. This proposal renews it for another six months under the current terms.

Program performance

The latest reviewed payout period shows consistent participation and disciplined, performance-linked payouts:

  • 60 qualifying Keyper-months across 12 operators.

  • 3,000 USDC-equivalent earned in total, paid in SHU.

  • Monthly compensation totals of 600, 650, 650, 550, and 550 USDC-equivalent.

  • The latest execution converts 3,000 USDC-equivalent into 2,297,090.352220 SHU at 0.001306 USD/SHU.

The data support continuing the program: eligible Keypers are rewarded when they meet the standard, while compensation falls automatically when uptime or communication requirements are not met.

Renewal terms

  • Duration: 6 months from approval Sept 2026 - Feb 2027

  • Eligibility: registered Keypers.

  • Standard: at least 90% uptime and an open communication channel.

  • Rate: 50 USDC-equivalent in SHU per qualifying Keyper per month.

  • Review: monthly by brainbot.

  • Payout: via Shutter DAO 0x36 /On chain vote every 3 months.

  • Settlement: SHU, using the documented USD/SHU conversion rate applied at each payout execution.

Estimated cost

Recent performance has produced 11–13 qualifying Keypers per month, with an average of 12. On that basis:

  • Expected six-month cost: 3,600 USDC-equivalent in SHU (12 × 50 × 6).

  • Observed-range estimate: 3,300–3,900 USDC-equivalent in SHU (11–13 × 50 × 6).

  • At 0.001306 USD/SHU, the expected amount would be approximately 2,756,508 SHU, with an illustrative range of approximately 2,526,799–2,986,217 SHU.

The actual SHU amount will depend on the conversion rate documented for each payout. Compensation remains conditional on monthly performance, so these figures are estimates rather than guaranteed spending.

Implementation

At the end of each month, brainbot will review each Keyper’s uptime and communication status. Keypers that meet the standard will be scheduled for compensation; others will receive feedback on how to improve. The DAO will execute payouts every three months.

Axia supports renewing the Keyper Compensation Program for a further six months. The program remains a modest, performance-linked mechanism for supporting reliable Keyper participation: operators qualify only when they meet the uptime and communication standard, and recent payouts show that compensation adjusts with actual performance rather than operating as a fixed subsidy.

The expected cost is limited and the program has a clear operational purpose. For future SHU-denominated payouts, Axia encourages publication of the price source, timestamp or averaging window, and recipient-level calculations so delegates can verify how each USDC-equivalent amount converts into SHU.
